BBQ Beef Brisket

Enjoy tender, juicy BBQ Beef Brisket made easily in your oven! This recipe uses simple ingredients and a Dutch oven for perfectly fall-apart brisket every time.

Ingredients

  • 2-3 lbs beef brisket
  • 1 tbsp dried thyme leaves
  • 1 tbsp paprika
  • Salt & pepper
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp ground cumin
  • 3 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 18-24 oz bottle of your favorite BBQ sauce
  • 1 cup water

Instructions

  • Rub all spices: Rub thyme, paprika, salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, and cumin all over the brisket to coat evenly.
  • Prepare Dutch oven: At the bottom of the Dutch oven, add 1 cup of water, the brisket, Worcestershire sauce, and half of the BBQ sauce.
  • Bake: Cover and bake in the oven at 350°F for 3-4 hours until the brisket is tender and falling apart.
  • Shred and finish: Remove from the oven, shred the brisket, add the remaining BBQ sauce, and return to the oven uncovered for an additional 20-30 minutes.
