Crockpot Salsa Verde Beef

This crockpot salsa verde beef slow cooks a chuck roast in Herdez salsa verde with taco seasoning, carnitas seasoning, green chiles, and lime for an easy fall-apart tender shredded beef ready in 6 hours.

Ingredients

  • 2½-3 lbs beef chuck roast
  • 1 jar Herdez Salsa Verde
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1 packet carnitas seasoning
  • 1 small can diced green chiles
  • 1 small onion sliced
  • 1 lime juice

Instructions

  • Place the chuck roast in the bottom of your crockpot.
  • Sprinkle the taco seasoning and carnitas seasoning evenly over the roast.
  • Add the sliced onion and diced green chiles.
  • Pour the entire jar of salsa verde over everything, then squeeze the lime juice over the top.
  • Cover and cook on HIGH for about 6 hours, or until the beef is fall-apart tender and easily shreds with a fork.
  • Shred the beef directly in the crockpot and toss it in all of those salsa verde juices.
