Oven Baked Blackened Redfish

This Oven Baked Blackened Redfish is a quick and easy way to enjoy bold, restaurant-style flavors at home! Made in a cast iron skillet, it mimics the grill without the hassle.

Ingredients

  • 2 slabs of reddish on the half shell
  • 3-4 lemons
  • 8 tbsp butter
  • Blackened redfish Magic seasoning

Instructions

  • Pre heat oven to 400, make sure it’s fully heated before starting
  • Prep your redfish by taking off any scales and pull out any bones with pliers. Squeeze with half lemon on each side and heavily season with the magic seasoning. Then top with 2-3 rounds of sliced lemons
  • Heat your cast iron for a few minutes before putting your butter in. Once it’s melt, add in a squeezed lemon and 2tbsp of magic seasoning
  • Add your redfish in skin down, spoon the butter sauce on top of the fish and bake in the oven for 12-15 minutes. That all depends on the size, the fish will be white and start to flake when done!
