Ingredients

  • Refried beans
  • Guacamole store bought or homemade
  • 16 oz Sour cream
  • 2 packets Taco seasoning
  • Shredded Monterey and cheddar cheese mix
  • Diced black olives
  • Diced tomatoes
  • Shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Blue corn chips for serving

Instructions

  • In a shallow rectangular dish, spread a layer of refried beans evenly across the bottom.
  • In a bowl, mix sour cream and taco seasoning packets until well combined. Spread this mixture over the refried beans.
  • Add a layer of guacamole over the sour cream mixture.
  • Sprinkle a generous layer of the shredded Monterey and cheddar cheese mix on top.
  • Now decorate the top to look like an American flag:
  • Use shredded mozzarella to create the white stripes
  • Use diced tomatoes to create the red stripes
  • Use diced black olives in the corner to represent the “stars” section
  • Chill in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
  • Serve with blue corn chips for an extra festive touch.
