In a shallow rectangular dish, spread a layer of refried beans evenly across the bottom.
In a bowl, mix sour cream and taco seasoning packets until well combined. Spread this mixture over the refried beans.
Add a layer of guacamole over the sour cream mixture.
Sprinkle a generous layer of the shredded Monterey and cheddar cheese mix on top.
Now decorate the top to look like an American flag:
Use shredded mozzarella to create the white stripes
Use diced tomatoes to create the red stripes
Use diced black olives in the corner to represent the “stars” section
Chill in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
