How To Make Eggnog French Toast

Make the custard: In a bowl, mix eggs, eggnog, milk, vanilla, brown sugar, powdered sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt until well combined.

Soak the bread: Pour the mixture evenly over the bread cubes, ensuring they’re well-coated. For a more developed flavor, cover and refrigerate overnight.

Base:

  • 1 loaf of Brioche bread
  • 6 eggs
  • 2 cups eggnog
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 4 tbsp light brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp powdered sugar
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • Pinch of salt

Topping:

  • 4 tbsp brown sugar
  • 3 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 4 tbsp cold butter cut into pieces
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon

Optional toppings:

  • Maple syrup
  • Strawberries
  • Powdered sugar

Instructions
 

  • Grease a 13×9 pan. Add in cubed brioche bread.
  • Mix together eggs, eggnog, milk, vanilla extract, brown sugar, powdered sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Pour mixture evenly over the bread.
  • Option: Cover and store in the fridge overnight. (If you do, be sure to take it out of the fridge 20-30 minutes prior to let the baking dish get to room temperature before putting it in a hot oven)
