How to Make Lemon-Dill Walnut Crusted Halibut

1

Prep the Halibut: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil. Season the halibut fillets on both sides with salt, pepper, and minced garlic for added flavor.

2

Mix the Crust Ingredients: In a bowl, combine the chopped walnuts, panko, grated Parmesan, horseradish, Dijon mustard, fresh dill, lemon zest, and melted butter. Mix until it forms a crumbly texture. Press the crust mixture gently on top of each halibut fillet to coat them evenly. Drizzle a bit of olive oil on top to help it crisp up in the oven.

3

Prepare the Sauce: In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the chopped shallots or green onions and cook until softened. Stir in the dill, white wine, and lemon juice. Let the sauce simmer gently while you cook the halibut.

4

Bake the Halibut: Place the crusted halibut on the prepared baking sheet and bake in the oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork and the crust is golden brown. When done, squeeze some fresh lemon juice over the fillets.

5

Serve: Spoon the lemon-dill sauce over the halibut fillets and serve immediately. Enjoy the blend of flavors with a side of your choice, like roasted vegetables or rice.
