How To Make Apple Pie Turnovers

Apple Pie Turnovers

Try these easy Apple Pie Turnovers made with crescent roll dough, Granny Smith apples, and a sweet buttery sauce. Perfect for dessert or a cozy fall treat!

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cans Crescent roll dough
  • 2 large Granny Smith apples peeled and sliced thin

Sauce

  • 1 cup unsalted butter melted
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • ¾ cup dark brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • ½ tsp ground cinnamon
  • ½ tsp ground nutmeg
  • Pinch of salt

Pour on Top

  • ½ shot whiskey
  • 7.5 oz Sprite

Instructions
 

  • In a baking dish, smear a small amount of butter to prevent sticking. Begin rolling your crescent rolls with 2-3 apple slices in each, carefully. Place all in the dish.
  • Mix up the sauce ingredients and pour on top of the rolled crescent rolls. Then, pour a can of Sprite and whiskey over the top.
  • Bake at 350°F for 45 minutes. Serve with vanilla ice cream and enjoy!
