Butter Noodles
Butter noodles are the ultimate comfort food. They’re simple, fast, and taste like childhood in a bowl. This version upgrades the classic with bold seasoning, savory bouillon, and lots of fresh grated Parmesan. Perfect for a weeknight dinner, quick lunch, or a late-night craving. It’s a one-pot wonder that’s flavorful and cozy every single time.

Before you get started
You’ll want to cook your pasta first and remember to save a bit of the pasta water before draining. The starchy water is key to making a silky, glossy sauce that clings to every noodle. A thin noodle works best here, but use whatever you have on hand. Get your butter and garlic ready while the pasta cooks so you can move quickly once it’s drained.
What You Need To Make Butter Noodles
You’ll find everything you need listed in the recipe card, but here’s a quick rundown of what’s involved: your favorite pasta, butter, garlic, a few key seasonings for depth and heat, roasted chicken bouillon for that rich umami base, and plenty of Parmesan cheese to finish it off.
How To Make Butter Noodles
1
Start by cooking your pasta of choice in salted water according to package instructions. Drain it and reserve some of the pasta water. In the same pot, melt your butter over medium heat and add minced garlic along with Cajun seasoning, Badia complete seasoning, and roasted chicken bouillon. Let that mixture come to a light simmer.
2
Next, return your cooked pasta to the pot and toss to coat. Slowly add the reserved pasta water a little at a time until your desired sauce consistency is reached. Turn off the heat, add salt and pepper to taste, and pile on the Parmesan. Stir well and serve hot.
Commonly Asked Questions
Can I use a different kind of seasoning?
Yes. If you don’t have Cajun or Badia complete, try Italian seasoning or smoked paprika for a different twist.
What type of pasta works best?
Thin noodles like angel hair or spaghetti are great, but any pasta will work. Just be sure to cook it al dente.
Can I make this vegetarian?
Absolutely. Just use a veggie bouillon instead of chicken, and the rest of the ingredients are already vegetarian-friendly.
