Lucky Charms Marshmallow Treats
If you grew up on classic Rice Krispie squares, these Lucky Charms Marshmallow Treats take that same nostalgic magic and dial it all the way up. Soft, gooey marshmallow. Bright, crunchy cereal. Extra pockets of mini marshmallows. And of course, those iconic Lucky Charms marshmallows folded in for a colorful finishing touch.

They’re fun, fast, and perfect for after-school treats, birthday parties, bake sales, or a rainy afternoon cooking project with the kids. No baking, no fuss, just a pot, a pan, and a few minutes of stirring.
The key to making them extra soft is folding in the extra marshmallows after the mixture comes off the heat. They melt just enough to blend but still hold their shape for gooey texture in every bite.
Serve them fresh, store them for later, or wrap them individually to tuck into lunchboxes, they’re a guaranteed hit anywhere they go.
What You Need
- Unsalted butter
- Vanilla extract
- Marshmallows
- Lucky Charms cereal
- Extra mini marshmallows (to fold in at the end)

How To Make Lucky Charms Treats
1
Prep the pan
Line a baking dish with parchment paper and lightly butter or spray it. Set aside.
2
Melt the butter
In a large pot over medium heat, melt the butter until fully liquid.
3
Add vanilla + marshmallows
Stir in the vanilla, then add the entire bag of marshmallows.
Cook, stirring constantly, until completely melted and smooth.
4
Mix in the cereal
Remove from heat. Add the Lucky Charms cereal and fold quickly to coat every piece.
5
Add the extras
Gently fold in mini marshmallows and Lucky Charms marshmallows.
(Fold lightly so they don’t melt.)
6
Transfer + press
Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish.
Press down gently with buttered hands or a spatula — don’t pack too firmly or the bars will be dense.
Storage Tips
- Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
- Do not refrigerate, it hardens the marshmallows.
- For extra softness, add a slice of bread to the storage container.
