Ingredients

  • 2 pork chops boneless or bone-in
  • 1 yellow or sweet onion roughly chopped
  • 3 Honeycrisp apples roughly chopped
  • 1 bunch green onions roughly chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • ½ box chicken broth such as Kettle and Fire
  • ¼ cup half and half
  • 2 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • ½ lemon juice only
  • 2 tsp butter
  • Honey for drizzling
  • Hearts of Palm pasta optional
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • Garlic powder
  • Badia Complete Seasoning
  • Pork Magic seasoning
  • Cinnamon
  • Pinch of crushed red pepper
  • Fresh thyme
  • Fresh sage

Instructions

  • Season the pork chops with salt, pepper, garlic powder, Badia Complete Seasoning, and Pork Magic. In a skillet, heat a little olive oil over medium heat, then brown the pork chops for 3 minutes on each side. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  • Roughly chop the apples, yellow onion, and green onions. Mince the garlic cloves.
  • In the same skillet, melt 2 teaspoons of butter. Add the chopped apples, onions, green onions, and minced garlic. Drizzle honey over the top, then season with salt, pepper, cinnamon, and a pinch of crushed red pepper. Let the mixture cook down, stirring occasionally, for about 20 minutes until the apples and onions are caramelized.
  • Add the chicken broth, half and half, Dijon mustard, and juice of half a lemon to the skillet. Stir to combine and bring the mixture to a boil. If adding pasta, stir it in now.
  • Return the pork chops to the skillet and add fresh thyme and sage on top. Place the skillet in the oven at 375°F and bake for 10-15 minutes until the pork chops are fully cooked.
  • Plate the pork chops with the caramelized apple and onion sauce on top. Serve warm and enjoy!
