Before You Get Started
A few quick notes to help your dip turn out perfectly creamy:
- Make sure your spinach is fully thawed and squeezed dry so the dip doesn’t get watery.
- Crawfish is delicate, adding it at the end keeps it tender instead of overcooked.
- Low and slow is best if you’re using a crockpot.
- Mozzarella melts beautifully but you can add pepper jack or sharp cheddar for extra flavor.
- This dip thickens as it warms, so don’t worry if it looks loose at first.

How to Make Cajun Crawfish and Spinach Dip
1
Build the Creamy Base
Combine cream cheese, sour cream, mayo, spinach, and seasonings in a pot or in your crockpot. Let everything warm and melt together until smooth and creamy.
2
Add the Seasoning
Stir in your Creole Trinity & Herb seasoning, Cajun seasoning, and onion powder. As the cream cheese melts, the spices bloom and deepen in flavor.
3
Melt in the Cheese
Once the dip is warm, stir in the mozzarella until it becomes silky and fully incorporated.
4
Add the Crawfish Last
Fold in the crawfish tails gently at the very end so they stay tender and juicy.
